English Spoken — A Comedy with an Accent

TeatroTEBA, a Brooklyn based OBIE winning company, presents English Spoken — A Comedy with an Accent. The play explores how the language aculturation process absorbs the values of a community. Based on Lauro Olmos, Miguel González-Pando and Eroílda Rodríguez’s texts, Héctor Luis Rivera directs a satirical trial where the defendant has been accused of speaking Spanish in an English only nation.
