About This Show

A new comedy written and directed by Norman Weinstein about an almost normal 3-generation family. Its unity challenged by the individualism of its members, “Divided we stand” might well be the slogan of the Tucker family. Grandfather Ellis, wife and mother Adriane, and the two Tucker teens pursue goals disapproved by very conservative Harold–son, husband, and father–who hypocritically also shelters a secret desire. Over their protests he insists on their all “going Thoreau” to experience life’s basics and true family values. When a lovely, free-wheeling feminist enters the scene, matters complicate further. As we experience this family at home and in campgrounds here and in France, we realize that we, too, might comfortably fit in. As Thoreau once put it, each of us “…hears a different drummer.”
