About This Show

Set in 1955, Doo Wop Dracula tells the story of a sexy newcomer named Johnny Rave who has brought the “Transylvania Bop” to Pittsfield. Neither the local teen gang (the Rayguns) nor the local cops like this new kid who’s shaking up the town. But Peggy Lombardi, a plain-Jane who’s stuck on James Dean, just pines for a date for the Halloween Hop and Johnny’s the man of her dreams, he’s even been appearing in them. This new musical is written, composed and directed by four-time Emmy winner (for Sesame Street) William Electric Blank.
