This August marks the one-year anniversary of the terror attack of the UN
headquarters in Baghdad. Sergio Vieria de Mello, the United Nations High
Commissioner for Human Rights, who was serving as Secretary-General Special Representative in Iraq and twenty three members of the UN staff were killed in the bombing. Dead Woman Home, a solo multimedia play, is based on the true story of a one Filipina aid that was reported as dead in the attack. This poignant solo play attempts to put a human face on the media coverage surround the events and examines the actions in the middle-east since the bombing which prompted the UN to leave Iraq.
