Cosmos/Ethos: From Bris to Abyss

Cosmos/Ethos: From Bris to Abyss consists of two solo shows, both of which make playful, philosophical inquiries into the representation of truth in art and the meaning of living. In Ethics, Goldfin portrays a Rabbinic lover of art who questions the “accuracy” of our most sacred images, finally revealing a truth hidden beneath the canvas. Then Petrovich, in A Comic Mishap, awakens beneath the canvas of reality to an accidental universe organized entirely by chance, and is still there now, questioning, questioning.
