Broadway and film actor Bill Buell directs Construction, a new play by Victor Hawks that chronicles the private lives of three construction workers.
The cast includes Hawks (Urinetown, Producers Nat’l Tour), Daniel Stewart Sherman (Henry IV, The Full Monty), and Rick Gifford (Regional: Peer Gynt).
Construction chronicles the funny, perverse, yet heartwarming experiences of Vin, Bobby, and Ray, three single blue-collar construction workers who struggle with their identities both at the work site and behind closed doors. Through lunch hour bragging sessions, secret trips to the piano bar, and embarrassing bedroom behavior, these men learn how to manage machismo as Construction examines a true phenomenon: the innerworkings of the working man.
