About This Show

TOSOS II – The Other Side of Silence in association with Out Professionals
presents as part of the Robert Chesley / Jane Chambers Playwright Project
a reading of Tennessee Williams’ Clothes for a Summer Hotel,
directed by Mark Finley.

Clothes for a Summer Hotel was Tennessee William’s last play produced on Broadway. It had a brief run at the Cort Theater in 1980, starring Geraldine Page and directed by Jose Quintero. Subtitled “A Ghost Play”, it explores the volatile relationship between F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald in the abstract style he experimented with in Camino Real and some of his later works.
