Alex Parisien presents the world premiere of Black Martian, a One Man Show, based on a true story, told through the eyes of “Phillip”, a 1st generation Haitian-American who trips over himself in his search for his identity. Journey through Haiti, America, and Italy as Phillip encounters psycho cooks, bible-toting street ‘playas’, and knife-wielding Italian women. This 15 character one-man show is a coming of age story that shows the humor as well as pain of growing up Haitian, American, Suburban, and Black…in America.
This show is performed as part of the New York International Fringe Festival.
