About the Show

May 30, 1942. On the day Hollywood finally killed John Barrymore, Jack Warner offers Peter Lorre – another once great actor of the stage – a studio contract that will provide him with financial security at the price of artistic degradation. Realizing the temptation is great, Lorre plans a macabre prank that will render him unable to sign come morning. But every defiant step only leads him closer to signing the contract that will turn him into the monster he fears he’s already become.

This performance is presented as part of the New York International Fringe Festival.
