About the Show
World-renowned keyboard percussionist, recording artist and composer Arthur Lipner brings a new show to the world called MALLET MACHÉ. This program features Arthur (introduced by a character he plays) followed by virtuosic solo and small ensemble performances. Along the way, he shares entertaining and interesting tidbits about his life touring the world as a mallet player - from recording studios to building an ice xy-lophone on a Norway mountaintop. Several segments call for audience participation. Arthur will also read a few selections from VIBES in VERSE, his collection of poetry/short stories released a few months ago. MALLET MACHÉ ends with a curated display of his 250 tambourines from over 30 countries.
