$19.00; $15.00, students and seniors:
All-In-One is a collection of one-acts ranging from original works to seldom-seen classic plays.
The fun starts off with George Bernard Shaw’s Village Wooing. This two-person piece deconstructs the relationship between a man and a woman, from their first chance encounter (on a cruise ship) to one where marriage is discussed. Rachel Wood directs.
In Rich Orloff’s Lion Tamer a forty-something man is about to move into a new apartment, but the current owner warns of the excess emotional baggage she’s leaving behind. As the two talk about apartments, sex and personal entanglements, a mutual attraction begins to build. Who will be tamed; one, both or neither? Walter Brandes directs.
David Ives’ The Mystery at Twicknam Vicarage, is a gleeful send-up of all those atmospheric English murder mysteries. A victim, an on-the-scene Inspector, three possible suspects, and a case that would strain the combined brainpower (and credulity) of Hercule Poriot, Mrs. Marple, and Sherlock Holmes. Philip Emeott directs.
Well-Laid Desert, written by Walter Brandes, is the story of three close friends stranded in the middle of nowhere when their car breaks down on a trip to Vegas. In the midst of realizations, accusations and ramifications while waiting for help, the bonds between the trio are strained to the limit. Eric Parness directs.
