Recalling a Japanese legend, Sadako sets to work folding paper cranes. According to the legend, if a person folds 1,000 paper cranes the gods will grant them a wish. Will she finish making the cranes in time?

This production is unique in that in addition to spoken English, the company has seamlessly interwoven American Sign Language, which is spoken by everyone in the play, including one deaf actress. Come share the story of one girl’s brave battle, and the wish that made her a national hero in Japan.
