About the Show
This multimedia romp through the idea of gender is guided by renowned English performance artist Joey Hateley. A bold new performance piece called “…Subversion at its most political and sexy,” A.Gender tears apart accepted ideas about the “opposite sex” and the definitions of man/woman, boy/girl, butch/femme. Joey is based in Manchester, England and has toured in Sweden, Belgium, Australia, Canada and Scotland.
A.Gender is presented as part of the Fifth Annual Fresh Fruit Festival.
