About This Show

Elizabeth Berkley, Rachel Dratch, Matthew Lillard, Andrew McCarthy, muMs, Ally Sheedy, and Andre Royo are among the actors participating in 24 is 10: The Best of The 24 Hour Plays, as part of the 10th annual New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC). They perform in 10-minute works by playwrights such as David Lindsay-Abaire, Warren Leight, Teresa Rebeck, Jeff Whitty, Christopher Shinn, Will Eno, Adam Bock, Mike Doughty, John Belluso, Elizabeth Meriwether, and Michael John Garces.

24 is 10 is presented by the 24 Hour Company, begun in 1995 by a group of friends who got together in a small theater on the Lower East Side to attempt to write, rehearse, and present six new short plays, all in a single day. Originally intended as a one-off event, this season The 24 Hour Plays celebrated its tenth anniversary. The rotating cast and crew of The 24 Hour Plays have performed for sold-out Broadway and West End houses, as well as Off-Broadway, and in Chicago, Los Angeles, Montreal, and Bonn. Participants have included diverse talents from all levels — from Tony, Oscar, and Pulitzer Prize winners to emerging talent and students.
