What's My Line? premiered on CBS on February 2, 1950 and became an instant classic, running for 25 years on American television. The stage version follows the basic format of the classic TV game show: Four celebrity panelists try to guess the occupation of a guest, asking only yes-or-no questions. The guests are all regular folks with unusual occupations --plus an appearance byc a special elebrity mystery guest. This stage show, however, is not broadcast; the only audience is the folks who show up in the 199-seat theatre. It's a real game with real people with real occupations and genuine celebrities --the show is not scripted and runs approximately 75 minutes, with no intermission. Past installments of "What's My Line? - Live On Stage" featured stars such as Rose Marie, Nanette Fabray, Jose Canseco, Larry King, Drew Carey, Noah Wyle, Alan Thicke, Amy Brenneman, Andy Dick, Ann Magnuson, Brett Butler, Bruce Jenner, Bruce Vilanch, Camryn Manheim, Danny Bonaduce, Dick Van Patten, Ed Asner, Ed Begley, Jr., Elliott Gould, Fred Willard, George Takei, Hector Elizondo, Jasmine Guy, Jayne Meadows, Joan Van Ark, Julie Newmar, Laraine Newman, Lea Thompson, Lee Meriwether, LeVar Burton, Leonard Maltin, Lindsay Wagner, Lisa Loeb, Lorenzo Lamas, Melvin Van Peebles, Michael & Kitty Dukakis, Monty Hall & Carol Merrill, Peter Falk, Paul Williams, Rip Taylor, Sally Struthers, Sean Young, Sharon Lawrence, Shelley Berman, Shelley Long, Sherwood Schwartz, Shirley Jones, Tara Lipinski, Ted Lange, Tom Bergeron, "Weird Al" Yankovic and Wink Martindale.
