About This Show

Spring is definitely in the air when the Major General leads her charges on a specimen-gathering field trip for her “Wonders of Nature” class. Having out-distanced their Headmistress, the girls happen upon some interesting human specimens, locals of dubious reputation – The Pirates, who are on their own “field trip” to “gather” some illicit cases of Maple Leaf Rum. The girls decide to take a break from their studies and visit the known haunt of these folk, The Mermaid. What happens when reputable ladies and disreputable men get together? What will the Headmistress do when she catches up? Will the Mounties have to get involved?

Theater Ten Ten presents a revival of their popular 1995 production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance, set in Nova Scotia at the turn of the 19th century where, at Penzance College for Women, the Head Mistress IS a Major General.

There are additional performances on Thursdays, May 22 and 29 at 7:00pm.
