The New Group’s 2004-2005 Season features the following shows:
October 11 – December 4, 2004: Sin: A Cardinal Deposed, written by Michael Murphy and directed by Carl Forsman
John Cullum stars in the New York debut of this riveting theatrical documentary based on the chillingly exact depositions of Bernard Cardinal Law, Archbishop of Boston. Sin reveals the man at the center of the firestorm around the recent priest sex abuse scandal.
January 11 – March 5, 2005: HurlyBurly written by David Rabe and directed by Scott Elliot
David Rabe’s tour de force is a shocking, brutally comic reflection on the decade of decadence. Set in the cocaine-and-sex infused Hollywood Hills of the mid-1980’s, featuring a newly-revised script from Mr. Rabe, this is the first New York production of Hurlyburly since its celebrated Broadway run in 1984.
Spring 2005: Terrorism by The Presnyakov Brothers, translated by Sasha Dugdale and directed by James Lapineln.
Six spine-tingling interconnected scenes, Terrorism examines a society ravaged by terror. Already an international sensation, this American Premiere is a frighteningly hilarious depiction of modern life.
