The Bag Lady is a magical journey that tells the story of a lonely woman who uses simple plastic bags to build her own world as she travels through her memories, yearnings, and fantasies: a dancer who cannot dance until she finds her own heart; a gentleman seeking his beloved; a geisha whose bamboo cane is both a flute and an instrument of death. Alone on stage, Malgosia Szkandera explores the wordless poetry of silence as each plastic bag is transformed into a host of different characters in her hands.
