About This Show

This auspicious and star studded evening celebrates Outstanding Dancers (male & female), as well as Outstanding Choreographer on the Broadway stage. For film, awards are given for Outstanding Director (in a Documentary) and Outstanding Choreographer (in a feature film). Additionally, this year we will honor the beloved Marge Champion with The Douglas Watt Lifetime Achievement Award. A special award will be presented to Ted Chapin of The Rogers and Hammerstein Foundation for his tremendous contribution to Musical Theatre. Special tribute will be paid in celebration of both Marge and Ted, with live musical performances by some of Broadways greatest Divas, the pas de Deux from The New York Philharmonic’s performance of CAROUSEL (choreographed by Warren Carlyle and performed by NYC Ballet’s Robert Fairchild and Tiler Peck), as well as live dance performances by the newly re-instated American Dance Machine. Special Appearances from the Broadway community, such as Susan Stroman and Lee Roy Reams.
