Emerging Artists Theatre presents Lance Crowfoot-Suede’s newest drama, Syria, America. The production takes place in a Syrian Jewish neighborhood in Brooklyn, where four childhood friends are forced as adults to choose between their homosexuality and their community, leading to an unforgivable betrayal. The exotic and deeply religious world comes to the fore as the play weighs the community’s values against the importance of personal identity.
