About This Show

Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (Violet, Anything Goes) stars as Charity Hope Valentine, the sassy, diehard romantic dance hall hostess whose naivety and overeager embrace of every man she meets keep getting her in trouble.

This production of Sweet Charity, timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the original, offers a fresh, modern perspective. What that means, among other things, is an intimate setting and new choreography by Joshua Bergasse (On the Town). The scaled-down vision is that of Tony-nominated director Leigh Silverman (Violet, Well).

“This intimate off-Broadway mounting seamlessly welds comedy to tragedy with the help of one of the musical theater’s great leading ladies.” – Zachary Stewart, TheaterMania
