Winner of the 2026 Richard Rodgers Award, this contemporary musical retelling of Homer’s Odyssey from the perspective of Odysseus’s wife, Penelope stars multi-hyphenate actress-singer-writer McLean (Suffs; Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812). The award-winning show features music and lyrics by Alex Bechtel and a book by Alex Bechtel, Grace McLean, and Eva Steinmetz, and is directed by Eva Steinmetz. Bechtel (piano) and four to-be-announced musicians will join McLean onstage as a musical Greek chorus.
