Three modern strangers board a jetliner for a long flight … just as two Victorian sisters and their chaperone set out on The Grand Tour … three medieval gypsies scramble to flee approaching plague … and an ancient Greek family prepares for a momentous marriage. They’re all in for a bumpy ride. Whether wryly comic or soaringly melodic, Richard Pearson Thomas’s words and music propel these stories, shifting from century to century with increasing drive and urgency.
