About This Show

Our Fathers, written by leading Italian playwright Luigi Lunari and directed by Stephen Jobes, explores the parallel lives of the children of two 20th century icons. One, Palmiro Togliatti, was a passionate idealist, revolutionary, and founding member of the Italian Communist Party. The other, Joseph P. Kennedy, was the willfully ambitious Irish Catholic patriarch of America’s leading political family. Through their children’s shared experience of famous fathers, they recount their personal stories of suffering and redemption through the act of confession.
