No Strings

City Center Encores! concludes its 10th Anniversary season with No Strings, Richard Rodgers’ first production after the death of his partner Oscar Hammerstein, and the only show for which he created his own lyrics. Written as a vehicle for Diahann Carroll, the show tells the story of an interracial love affair between a glamorous model and a Pulitzer Prize Award-winning novelist, set amidst the elegant world of modern Paris and St. Tropez.
