National Theatre Live: One Man, Two Guvnors

About the Show

This season of National Theatre Live will begin with One Man, Two Guvnors, which was hailed by the U.K.’s Daily Telegraph as “a triumph of visual and verbal comedy. One of the funniest productions in the National’s history.” In this new play, actor James Corden is reunited with National Theatre Director, Nicholas Hytner, for the first time since the worldwide hit The History Boys. This slapstick comedy by Richard Bean is a riotous take on Goldoni’s Italian classic, The Servant of Two Masters, where sex, food and money are high on the agenda. Set in 1960’s Brighton, expect a live skiffle band, stellar cast and unrelenting, unashamed British humor. National Theatre Live brings you the best of British theatre, broadcast from London to a world-wide audience via satellite.
