About This Show

Henrik Ibsen’s classic play deals with the hereditary passing of emotional and physical scars. Oswald Alving returns home to visit his mother after being sent away to avoid becoming like his father, a syphilis infected lecher. He confesses to his mother that he has contracted the disease and wants her to give him a lethal dose of morphine. This powerful moving play deals with the morality of human beings.
