About This Show

Kia Corthron’s Breath, Boom receives its American premiere, directed by Marion Isaac McClinton. This coming-of-age tale follows 14 years in the life of Prix, a girl-gang leader trying to control her life amidst the chaos of the inner-city. Beginning in the mid-80’s, the play is a chronicle of Prix’s journey from a bleak home life to prison and back again, as well as her relationships with her mother, peers, and, most importantly, herself.

There will be a special Wednesday matinee on June
27th at 2:30 PM in place of a matinee on Saturday, June 30th.
