New York City
Stars from current Broadway hits that have rehearsed at The New 42nd Street Studios perform songs from their shows as part of the first-ever New 42 Follies, a benefit for The New 42nd Street. Hosted by award-winning actor Sam Waterston, the New 42 Follies is a one-night-only revue comprised of musical numbers from a wide range of popular shows. Some of the Broadway stars scheduled to appear are Jason Danieley (Curtains), John Glover and Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone),. Marin Mazzie (Monty Python’s Spamalot), Orfeh (Legally Blonde), Josh Strickland (Tarzan), Barbara Walsh (Company), and cast members from The Color Purple and Coram Boy.
Broadway producer Bob Boyett and director-choreographer Susan Stroman are the Gala Chairs for the event, which also includes a dinner following the performance. Proceeds benefit The New 42nd Street’s many projects, including the New Victory Theater (and its arts education programs), the New 42nd Street Studios, and The Duke on 42nd Street.
Theatergoer tickets include mezzanine seats and admittance to the pre-performance cocktail reception.
