Jodi Melnick & Scott Heron

Dance Theater Workshop presents Jodi Melnick, one of the most well-traveled freelance dancers. She turns her road experiences – real and imagined – into a town of her own invention, “Wanderlust, Kentucky.” It is here that Melnick presents events that “may or may not have happened.” John Gromada arranged and composed original music for the dance.
Quick-change artist Scott Heron uses multiple costumes to create his multiple personalities in Flossing and Other Dances. “Flossing” demands that Heron be both a box of dental floss and the tooth-fairy, while “3X Donovan” demands he take on various female personas – all performed to the music of Donovan. A world premiere, “Gumdrops and Cupcakes,” whose lighting is as sugary as its title, features music and lyrics composed and performed live by Corey Dargel.
