ONE NIGHT ONLY!
For six decades, Bataan has been one of the defining voices of New York’s Latin music scene, pioneering a signature Spanish Harlem sound forged from salsa, boogaloo, R&B, doo-wop, and soul. His music captured the cultural crossroads of New York City and helped shape the sound that would become known as Latin soul.
At Hostos, Bataan will revisit classics from throughout his career, including “Gypsy Woman” and “Subway Joe,” alongside special guests Frankie Morales, George Rodríguez, and Ángel Justiniano of New Swing Sextet.
The performance offers Bronx audiences an opportunity to experience a living legend of New York Latin music and celebrate the music, neighborhoods, and cultures that have defined Bataan’s remarkable six-decade career.
