Jay Brannan is a young singer/songwriter who launched his impressive music career by recording songs in his Manhattan apartment and posting them online. Within weeks, the video of his song "Soda Shop" became one of the top requested Youtube videos, with over 1.3 million views to date. In 2006, Brannan won a part in the John Cameron Mitchell film "Shortbus" where his character performs "Soda Shop", which also reached number 25 on iTunes. In 2007, he released his first EP "Unmastered", followed in 2008 by his first full length album "Goddamned." Subsequently, he appeared in the film "Holding Trevor" and his videos have appeared on the Logo Channel’s NewNowNext. In the past three years, he has toured extensively through out the country, as well as Canada, England, France, Australia, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Greece and Africa. Brannan is a new rising star in music and film who has caught the attention of Rolling Stone, the NY Times, Flavorpill, Out Magazine and Billboard, among others.
