About This Show

Called “a one-man British invasion” by Hollywood Reporter, self-taught vocalist/pianist/songwriter Jamie Cullum’s U.S. debut, twentysomething, has already gone two times platinum in his native England. Brimming with energy and charm,” twentysomething” proves Cullum a singular talent, able to make traditional pop and jazz compositions sound new and avant-garde rock sound vintage. “A talent this size comes along as rarely as a hot January,” raves Rex Reed in The New York Observer.
A multi-talented “youngster” of 19, Nellie McKay is already a seasoned performer/singer/songwriter/raconteur who peppers her live shows with acerbic and witty banter in between self-penned songs — and a well-placed standard or two — from her ever-growing repertoire steeped in the classic pop of Tin Pan Alley and the Brill Building, filtered through a post-Eminem sensibility.
The buzz is growing into a roar for multi-instrumentalist Raúl Midón, “a Must See Performer!” (The Miami Herald) who straddles soul, pop & jazz, with a hair-raising voice and dazzling guitar technique that has been blowing minds everywhere he performs, including his recent tour with Jason Mraz’ Curbside Prophets, The Funk Brothers and DJ/Producer Louie Vega’s Elements of Life band. Just signed to Manhattan Records/EMI, Midón’s album will be produced by the team of Joe and Arif Mardin (Norah Jones, Aretha Franklin).
