About This Show

Cedar Lake premieres Hammer, a full evening work by Artistic Director Benoit-Swan Pouffer. “Hammer is a very personal piece for me,” Pouffer states. “It evokes my young adult memories of Friedrich Nietzche’s famous book Twilight of the Idols and what he said about posing questions and challenging life with a hammer. For me, that questioning led me to discover that imagination could be my hammer.” The performance explores these thoughts through an uplifting narrative, and it features an original music score and original video. The show is performed by a 16-member company.
