Bell-Isserlis-Denk Trio & Friends – Concert II

The chamber music dream team of Joshua Bell, Steven Isserlis, and Jeremy Denk performs the second of two wholly different programs celebrating the radiant, poetic music of Robert Schumann.

Denk, Duval, and Isserlis open this concert with the beguiling miniatures of Schumann’s Fantasiestücke, Op. 88, before Bell joins Denk and Isserlis for the rarely performed dark jewel, the G-Minor Piano Trio. Duval and Isserlis open the second half with Schumann’s lyrical Three Romances, before the concert’s finale – the luminous E-flat Major Piano Quartet featuring Denk, Bell, Engstroem, and Isserlis. Expect sublime musicmaking from three stellar artists deeply attuned to Schumann’s sound world.
