Glenn Wool & Iliza Shlesinger

About the Show

Comix is proud to welcome Glenn Wool & Iliza Shlesinger for four shows starting March 27, 2009. These two young talents are already taking the comedy world by storm–quite literally!

Glenn Wool is a Canadian stand-up comedian now living in the United Kingdom. His material veers between sagely political and gleefully silly, discussing both the pop group Franz Ferdinand and the Pope’s contribution to cryogenics programs during his time onstage. Wool starred in a self-titled show produced for Channel 4’s “comedy lab” season in 2004. The show saw him attempting to exorcise a ghost from his place of residence. Glenn’s TV credits include "The BBC Stand Up Show", "Edinburgh Comedy", "Elvis Has Left The Building" and "Live Floor Show".

Winning Last Comic Standing – Season 6 may seem to be the beginning of a career in comedy, but not for Iliza Shlesinger. Being the first female and the youngest winner of the competition show is just a part of this very hard working comedian’s career. In 2007, Shlesinger won Myspace’s “So You Think You’re Funny” contest and has been featured as the G4 Network’s "Myspace Girl of the Week." Her television credits include E! Network’s "Forbes Celebrity 100," TV Guide’s "America’s Next Top Producer," Byron Allen’s "Comics Unleashed," and History Channel’s "History of a Joke." She has written for Heavy.com, had her on show on GOTV’s mobile network and currently hosts "The Weakly News with Iliza" on the streamtv.com. In 2008, Shlesinger was selected to perform at the Montreal Comedy Festival – Just For Laughs in the coveted New Faces showcase. She most recently appeared on E!’s "The Soup," "Chelsea Lately," TV Guide Network’s "411" and "Last Call with Carson Daly."
