About This Show

In Forever, Pete Hamill boldly imagines how one man and one city can endure great tragedy, flourish in a wealth of cultural influences, and unravel the mysteries of love and sex and loss and discovery over a life span that has no end. For the hero and his home, there is both great burden and great joy in a life that continues forever.

Pete Hamill is for many the living embodiment of New York City. He has been editor-in-chief of both the New York Post and the New York Daily News, for which he currently writes a regular column. In his writing for these publications as well as the New York Times, The New Yorker, and Newsday, he has brought the city to life for millions of readers. He is the author of previous bestselling books, including, most recently, the memoir A Drinking Life and the novel Snow in August. He lives in New York City.

The reading is followed by a wine & cheese reception.
