About the Show
“DOLORES,” written by Edward Allan Baker and directed by Matthew Danger Lippman, is produced by Sinead Hogan, Coralie Bradnam, and Red Door Productions, starring Coralie Bradnam and Sinead Hogan. Performances take place at Under St. Marks Theater, 94 St Marks Pl, New York, NY 10009, on Tuesday May 12 and Thursday May 14, at 7 pm, and Friday May 15, at 4:30 pm.
“Dolores, like all of Baker’s plays, is deeply personal and, at its core, is all about love,” say producers Ana Radice-Morras and Violet Levinson. Set in Providence, Rhode Island, the play follows two working-class sisters, Dolores, played by Coralie Bradnam and Sandra, played by Sinead Hogan, whose lives have taken very different turns. The play explores cycles of abuse and how the past continues to shape the present. Lippman says he “wanted to be a part of Dolores immediately, moved by the play and the passion and humour Sinead and Coralie bring".
