New York City
The Juilliard School’s renowned student orchestra, composed of some of the best players of the next generation, is joined by young players from London’s Royal Academy of Music in a lively program under the baton of John Adams, a giant among contemporary composers, whose own jazz-inflected symphony City Noir closes the evening. The performers are joined by English piano virtuoso Imogen Cooper, whose passagework the Times of London has described as "exquisite–impeccably even yet full of life."
