Chelsea Opera Presents Cavalleria Rusticana

The Breathtakingly beautiful and sumptuous Cavalleria Rusticana isn’t your ordinary operatic love-triangle.
When handsome and fearless Turiddu leaves to join the military, his distraught girlfriend Lola marries another. Upon his return from war, he is devastated to hear the news and decides to drown his sorrows in the arms of another woman, Santuzza.
But Lola, although married, refuses to let another woman have Turiddu, and sets out to win him back. When confronted with Lola’s renewed affection, Turiddu abandons his new lover and returns to Lola. Santuzza devastated by Turissu’s rejection decides to tell Alfio, Lola’s husband, in hopes of separating the lovers. But instead, Alfio is enraged and challenges Turiddu to a fight…To find out how it ends, join the Chelsea Opera for an extraordinary evening of music and drama!

Cast for Jan 27th & 29th is Leonarda Priore as Santuzza, Christian Sebek as Turiddu, Janelle McCoy as Lola and Alex Britton as Alfio

The performances will feature an ensemble of twenty-seven singers, accompanied by the Chelsea Opera Chamber Orchestra.
Filling out the evening will be a selection of scenes from favorite operas.
