About This Show

Bing Sings Whilst Bregman Swings! is a Bing Crosby Centennial homage to the man who practically invented the 20 century popular song, and “created” the
recording industry. He was the star who, for nearly half a century, reflected the best of America to itself – reassuringly, modestly, warmly. Narrating this show will be legendary arranger Buddy Bregman, a close friend
of the Crosby family. Bregman, as a very young man, recorded with Bing Crosby the double album, “Bing Sings Whilst Bregman Swings” that became a four-time platinum disk. Appearing with Bregman are seven swinging stars:
Broadway performers Eric Michael Gillett, Alicia Irving, and jazz artists Cleve Douglass and Barbara Porteus, along with instrumentalists Rich Siegel (piano), Ritt Henn (bass) and Adam James (drums).
