American Songbook – the acclaimed Lincoln Center series devoted to the popular American song, its singers, and songwriters – continues its sixth acclaimed season with an exciting line up of talented artists for Spring 2004.

Since it was launched in 1999, American Songbook has remained dedicated to the extraordinary achievements of the popular American songwriter from the turn of the 20th century up through the present. Spanning all styles and genres from Tin Pan Alley and Broadway to the eclecticism of today’s singer-songwriters, American Songbook traces the history and charts the course of the American song from its current forms to its future direction.
