Tripsichore Yoga Theatre

Yoga Journal calls Tripsichore “Yoga’s answer to Cirque du Soleil.” Begun in 1979 as a company devoted to creating full length dance narratives, Tripsichore explored a variety of stylistic forms ranging from conventional modern dance to strict neo-classical technique before realizing in 1992 the expressive potential and choreographic viability of yoga postures. Using yoga asanas and technique to create dances of sumptuous beauty and fluidity, Tripsichore expresses the themes of harmony, balance, spirituality, ecstasy, bliss and mysticism.
