About This Show

In Robert King’s comedy, The Best Man we encounter Patrick, the anxious but proud groom about to marry the girl of his dreams, his younger, handsome ne’er-do-well brother John, his best friend Ronnie who works at a donut shop but dreams of being an Internet mogul, and his doting mother Rita who has somehow managed throughout the years to keep her sons from killing each other.

It’s the day of the wedding and the temperature is topping 100 degrees. But the temperature is guaranteed to rise even higher when an unexpected dilemma confronts the wedding party. Patrick remembers little from the night before, when he got soused at the rehearsal dinner and had to be carried to his room (all three hundred pounds of him). But as the day continues, the quartet confronts an explosive secret that could sink the wedding and dash Patrick’s dreams forever.

Previews on the first Thursday and Friday are at 2pm and 8pm; in addition, there are selected Saturday matinees. Contact the theater for details.
