About the Show
East Lynne Theater Co. will have a six-week run of A. R. Gurney’s
Love Letters — with a twist. From Sept. 6 to Oct. 14, the play will be performed by a real-life couple with a connection each of the six weeks: three married couples, an engaged duo, and two pairs who share a romantic past. The casts are as follows:
Veronique Hurley & Mat Labotka, Sept. 6-9
Veanne Cox & Ezra Barnes, Sept. 13-16—Cox appeared in the original Broadway productions of “Caroline, or Change” and “An American in Paris,” as well as “Seinfeld” and “Sex and the City.” Barnes is known for off-Broadway’s “Breakfast with Mugabe”
Nance Williamson & Kurt Rhoads, Sept. 20-23—King and Queen of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival
Marlena Lustik & Roy Steinberg, Sept. 27-30
Alison J. Murphy & Mark Edward Lang, Oct. 4-7
Arija Bareikis & Craig Fols, Oct. 11-14—Bareikis was in the original cast of “Last Night of Ballyhoo” on Broadway, and played the female lead in the movie “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo."
