The Pirates of Penzance

About the Show

The Barn Theatre presents The Pirates of Penzance Book & lyrics by William S. Gilbert; music by Arthur Sullivan. In this classic comic operetta, Frederic, the slave to duty, has completed his apprenticeship to The Pirate King because he has finally reached his 21st birthday. That means he is now free to love Mabel. Complications arise (as they always do) when he finds out that his birthday is on February 29 (he was born on a leap year), making him 5 3/4…and still apprenticed to the Pirates! Direction by Bobbie Besiack.
