Seussical is a musical whose story is an amalgamation of many of Dr. Seuss’s most famous books. The plot of the show mirrors that of “Horton Hears a Who!”, centering on Horton the Elephant and his endeavors to protect the people of whoville, who live on a tiny speck of dust. The Cat in the Hat, an outside observer, acts as narrator and devils advocate, briefly leaping into the action on several occasions to keep the story moving along.
In all, the story incorporates many of Seuss’s most famous characters and/or settings in the show:”Horton Hears a Who!”, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, “Green Eggs and Ham”, “Yertle the Turtle and Other Stories”, “I Had Trouble in Getting to Sola Sollew”, “Mcelligot’s Pool”, “The One Feather Tail of Miss Gertrude Mcfuzz”, “Hunches in Bunches”, “The Butter Battle Book”, “Oh, the Thinks You Can Think”, “The Cat in the Hat”, “Did i Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are?”, and “Oh, the Places You’ll Go”
