The Community Theatre presents Sandy Marks’ Manhattan Comedy Night. See the top up-and-coming comics, direct from New York’s hottest comedy clubs.
The April 8 lineup is set to include (subject to change): Russ Meneve, Gregg Rogell, Rick Crom and Tom McTiernan.
Russ Meneve, a Hawthorne, New Jersey native has been performing comedy in and around New York City for the past eight years. Among Russ’ numerous credits are appearances on NBC-TV’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Last Call with Carson Daly, Last Comic Standing, and The Caroline Rhea Show.
Gregg Rogell has appeared on The Tonight Show, NBC’s Super Special All-Star Comedy Hour, Bob Hope and Other Young Comedians Making America Laugh, An Evening at the Improv, Caroline’s Comedy Hour, Comedy Central, MTV, VH1. He can also be recognized from his appearances as Kenny on the CBS sitcom The Nanny. He was featured on NBC’s Colin Quinn Show, New Joke City with Robert Klein, and Comedy Central’s USO Comedy Tour, which was filmed in Cuba.
Rick Crom is a songwriter, actor, and comedian living in New York City. He won the MAC award for best musical revue for his Our Life and Times Revue.
His other original scores include, American Way, Oh Fine, The Subject is Neurosis, Absolutely Rude, and Space Treck-The Unauthorized Musical. As an actor he has appeared in 3 Broadway shows: The Goodbye Girl, Once Upon A Mattress and Footloose. As a comedian he’s been featured on Showtime, Comedy Central, MTV, and Caroline’s Comedy Hour and A&E.
Newsday calls Tom McTiernan ‘one of the sharpest comics in New York,’
saying ‘his comedy is very funny, intelligent and good natured, someone you will be hearing a lot about.’ He has performed around the country and has opened for entertainers such as Tom Jones and Englebert Humperdink.
