About This Show

7th Inning Stretch: 7 10-Minute Plays About Baseball is a benefit for Mile Square Theatre, a new professional theatre company based in Hoboken. Mile Square Theatre celebrates Hoboken’s fame as the birthplace of baseball by commissioning and staging 7 10-minute plays on the subject by seven of America’s leading playwrights.

The participating playwrights are Pulitzer- and Tony-nominated Lee Blessing, Pulitzer- and Emmy-nominated Craig Wright, Stephen Gnojewski, Ann Noble, Charlie Peters, Steven Sapp & Gamal Abdel Chasten, and Crystal Skillman. Chris O’Connor, Producer, Founder and Artistic Director of Mile Square Theatre, directs.

Proceeds from 7th Inning Stretch will support Mile Square Theatre’s productions, theatre education classes and literacy programs.
