American Theater Group (ATG) presents Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music. Written by Hugh Wheeler, it was awarded six 1973 Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Original Score, and is based on Ingmar Bergman’s comedy of manners, Smiles of a Summer Night, set in 1900 Sweden. It explores the tangled web of hidden (and not-so-hidden) affairs, desires and deceits and features one of Sondheim’s most cherished songs, “Send in the Clowns.” ATG’s production will star Tony Award-nominee Kate Baldwin (Hello, Dolly!, Finian’s Rainbow) and be directed by Broadway veteran and Tony Award nominee Hunter Foster, with musical direction by Keith Levenson.
